Class Blog Entry

Here is the first class entry...

1. Everyone received their 100 line poem. The grade counted for the second marking period.

2. NEW BLOG POLICY! Starting today, we will have a daily class blog. One person a day will blog about what occurred in class. This includes discussions, questions, assignments, etc.

3. NEW ASSIGNMENT! Our new assignment is to keep your own "table" for 2 weeks. From now on until Feb. 12th everyone must keep a small notebook visibly around your neck (IN and OUT of class). You must record elements of your daily life that are worthy for all time. This includes quotes from your peers, teachers, family, etc. Anything that is worthy from the news, books, songs or anything that you think is worth your thought. It will be helpful to describe the event that was occurring when you recorded the information (who, where, when, etc). We will have to submit this notebook for a grade and we will be writing a paper so be wise in your decision on whether or not to censor something. REMEMBER TO WEAR IT ALL DAY!!! Beware of Mr. Laz and his children in Moorestown! If you get caught not wearing your notebook, your grade will decrease. The only exceptions to wearing the notebook is when you sleep, shower, working in an uniform, and/or playing a sport.

4. Prepare any lingering questions about Act I from Hamlet for tomorrow's class. Tomorrow we will start discussing Act II.

Hey guys. I'm sorry for the late entry but here's the notes for January 30th.
In class we just began discussing Act II scene ii.
We went through the beginning of the scene where Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were explained as long with their motives for spying on Hamlet.
We learned that Fortinbras is not going to attack Denmark but rather attack Poland but use Denmark as land for his army to pass.
Polonius then goes on a prolonged speech trying to explain Hamlet's madness that just ends up boring Gertrude and Claudius.

That's the basic recap.
