Beowulf's Funeral

When I was reading, I noticed that after Beowulf died and the men came back, no one talked about him being dead. All wiglaf was talking about was how they were going to be attacked and different strategies. Was this common back then, or were Beowulf men just showing their fear of what wouldd happen? Chris C

Since the test for Beowulf is coming, I think that it is smart to make a post for each of the 7 worksheets that we got in class on Friday. If you have any questions that you couldn't get or understand on that sheet, make a comment and everyone will try to answer them.

Hey guys, I am making this post because I believe that whenever we are absent we can post here with the date we missed and ask what work went on that we can do to catch up in class easier.

So I guess I will start first since I am writing this at home sick, What did I miss today in class on October 9th?

Grendel's mom

No this is not a thread of "yo momma" jokes on Grendel, though there are alot...

Anyway my real question is, during tonites reading when Beowulf goes into the haunted lake area, it says he gets grabbed under water but then all of a sudden he is in some lair with weapons and he fights Grendel's mom there, so my question is, does anyone know how Beowulf got from the water to this secret underwater cave that is not flooded with water?
